The last project that I did with L&K Associates of Architects and Planners, Beijing, China, as an intern. From this project I realized the immense pace that the Chinese are working in. From rough concepts to pre-design and final presentation, this project only took less than two weeks to prepare and complete.
The site on which the Health City will be built on used to be an industrial storage area, a material transferring center during the planned economy era. The area itself is still undeveloped. Based on the previous controlled detail planning of road and greenery, the implemented design concept contains previous planning structure framework with Medical and Health City as the design theme. The combination of buildings is intended to embody the combined functions of medical exposition, material transport, business, research, the culture of health preservation, and senior healing. All in all, the planning concept embodies the contents of city design and planning.
