In the second half of 2003, an internal design competition was held for Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology’s new Civil Engineering Polytechnic campus. Our group came up with the idea of combining two grids at an angle of 15 degrees for the initial building layout, naming the design “The Double Grid”. The two grids represent two basic student characters generally found within a campus (the diligent, and the slacker).
