A view towards the large root
Originally a fabric factory, manufacturing jeans fabric, and fabric coloring solutions (dye), Clariant decided to expand its facility by adding a small fabric showroom in their factory. The design of this showroom focused on display performance, and the client’s demand to emphasize locality was fulfilled by incorporating natural stones as wall finish, and placing a large timber root on one end of the gallery. Stones were primarily selected as finishing material to create a contrast between rugged nature and soft, man-made fabric.
